Meet the Team

Miss Neelam Potdar is a highly educated, trusted, and skilled consultant gynaecologist who specialises in fertility care optimisation. Her practice focus and interests center on IVF, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids and reproductive endocrinology. She is passionate about providing high quality patient centred care.

She is the Clinical Lead for the Fertility Unit. Miss Potdar completed her MD at the University of Leicester in 2010, with Fellowship (subspecialist) accreditation by the RCOG in Reproductive Medicine, and extensive training in advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

Miss Potdar is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester. Her academic endeavours and research interests include oxidative stress, early pregnancy, implantation problems and male subfertility. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has also presented at various national and international conferences.

Professor Tan is Professor of Obstetrics and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Leicester.

He completed his subspecialty training in reproductive medicine in Cambridge, UK, achieving RCOG accreditation as a subspecialist in reproductive medicine.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow (FRCS Glasg), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCP Ire) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

He obtained his PhD (University of Warwick) in 2008 and whilst in Cambridge completed a further research doctorate (MD) focusing on women’s health.

His clinical practice is in line with his research interests on recurrent miscarriage, fertility, diabetes and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, and preterm births.
