Meet the Team

Mr. Gelbaya, an accredited and highly qualified consultant and subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery, serves as the clinical lead for both assisted conception and endometriosis services at the University Hospitals of Leicester. With extensive experience in managing subfertile couples, he specializes in assisted reproductive techniques such as IVF or ICSI, as well as addressing recurrent miscarriage, recurrent implantation failure, and reproductive keyhole surgery, particularly for women with fibroids and severe endometriosis. Actively engaged in research, Mr. Gelbaya has contributed to numerous highly recognized international medical journals.

Miss Neelam Potdar is a highly educated, trusted, and skilled consultant gynaecologist who specialises in fertility care optimisation. Her practice focus and interests center on IVF, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids and reproductive endocrinology. She is passionate about providing high quality patient centred care.

She is the Clinical Lead for the Fertility Unit. Miss Potdar completed her MD at the University of Leicester in 2010, with Fellowship (subspecialist) accreditation by the RCOG in Reproductive Medicine, and extensive training in advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

Miss Potdar is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leicester. Her academic endeavours and research interests include oxidative stress, early pregnancy, implantation problems and male subfertility. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has also presented at various national and international conferences.
