Fertility treatments have advanced and offer hope for people who have struggled to conceive naturally. We offer a personalised approach to our fertility treatments and can offer a range of state-of-the-art procedures and treatments that are tailored to your individual needs.

If you are struggling to release an egg every month (not ovulating), then medications may be required to help you ovulate regularly. This can be done by oral tablets or injections and will involve ultrasound scans to monitor follicular growth called as ‘tracking’. Other life style factors such as diet and exercise can also have an impact on ovulation.

This involves injecting your partners sperm in the uterus at the time of ovulation. This allows a slightly increased chance of the sperm fertilising an egg. This can be done in a natural cycle or with medications for timing ovulation.

Donor sperm insemination (DI) involves using donor sperm to achieve a healthy pregnancy. The frozen donor sperm is thawed and placed in the uterus, timed with ovulation to help achieve a pregnancy. This can be done in a natural cycle or with medications to time ovulation.

It involves stimulating the ovaries for about 10-12 days with injections to help grow multiple eggs. These are then collected under ultrasound guidance and placed with the sperm in an incubator. Once egg and sperm fertilise they become embryos, which are placed in the uterus 3-5 days later to achieve a pregnancy. Usually 1 or 2 embryos are placed back in the uterus and any other good quality embryos if present can be frozen for future use.

ICSI is undertaken if the sperm parameters are not normal or there has been failure of fertilisation in a previous IVF attempt. It is similar to IVF in how the ovaries are stimulated to obtain eggs. The main difference is that once the eggs are collected, the sperm are placed by a special technique in the eggs to help with fertilisation.

SSR is recommended when there is no sperm in the ejaculate called as azoospermia or there is inability to ejaculate. Thorough assessment is done with various tests to determine if SSR can be performed, what procedure needs to be considered (such as PESA/TESA/TESE). Once the sperm is obtained it is frozen and subsequent ICSI treatment planned.

FET/VET is for those patients who have already undergone IVF or ICSI treatment and had some embryos frozen for later use. This treatment involves the injection of drugs to try and create an optimal environment within a woman’s uterus that a previously frozen embryo (fertilised egg) can be placed into. However, should your cycle be regular, there is the option of not using hormones before the embryo is placed. There is also the option for a single or double embryo to be implanted.
