Medical staff practising at the Leicester Fertility Centre include Miss Janine Elson Medical Director (F.R.O.C.G) Mr Allan Davidson (F.R.C.O.G) and Mr T Girish.
Janine Elson is the Lead Consultant. She has been an NHS consultant and an RCOG accredited subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2004.
Janine undertook her initial medical training at Leicester University and Leicester Royal Infirmary and her subspecialty training at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester . She is known internationally for her research into early pregnancy failure, endocrinology and gynaecological ultrasound.
Allan Davidson has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Leicester Royal Infirmary since 1980; he has a long-standing interest in the treatment of infertile couples.
Mr Girish undertook his training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicester Royal Infirmary since 1999. His special interest area includes Reproductive Medicine, Gynaecological ultrasound and Laparoscopic Surgery.
The administration of the ACU is complex and involves the arranging and rearranging of patient's appointments, collecting test results, recording the results of treatments. This all requires the full-time attention of our administrative staff.
In order to be able to offer our assisted conception services, we have assembled a dedicated and expert team.
A full-time consultant embryologist with the assistance of the embryology team supports the two consultant gynaecologists.
Our nursing and counselling staff are fully trained in the provision of infertility services and are able to offer care and support throughout the period of treatment.
A dedicated Andrologist manages the Andrology service, including the regional semen analysis service and the donor cryopreservation service.
